The coming harvesting season makes olive growers choose an efficient harvester, which adapts to their specific needs and to the type of cultivation. A reliable and solid tool allows you to harvest as soon as the drupes are in the best conditions to enter the processing cycle, which will transform them into oil or table olives.
Among the main features that distinguish the different harvester models there are the type of power supply and the design of the harvesting head, two key elements that together define the performance of the tool. In the range of the solutions proposed by Campagnola to olive growers, IRON is undoubtedly one of the models most appreciated by those who carry out intensive harvesting operations and, therefore, expect maximum efficiency and an excellent degree of robustness from their tools.
For this reason, in recent months our Research and Development department has focused its attention on this product belonging to the PROFESSIONAL Line and offers it in 2022 in an updated version with important innovations.
IRON and its teeth with a patented design by Campagnola
Pneumatic harvesters, such as IRON, are power supplied by the compressed air produced by a PTO or engine-driven compressor, a system that guarantees high efficiency combined with a low weight of the tools.
The innovations added to IRON leave these advantages unchanged and focus on the improvement of its harvesting head and its teeth, which are fundamental elements for an effective but gentle harvesting operation. The renewed IRON is perfect for a professional and intensive use and keeps its resistance to stress, obtaining excellent results.
The 2022 season sees IRON equipped with new carbon-reinforced technopolymer rakes fitted with long teeth having a patented semi-tuning- fork design. The rakes carry out an opposed movement to penetrate even the thickest foliage without getting damaged or broken. This way harvesting operations become fully respectful of the tree well-being. Any debarking, in fact, could be a dangerous way of access for pathogenic organisms, which could infect the olive trees and compromise their olives.
The new design of the prongs of IRON combines with the well-known features of the pneumatic harvester, such as the “short stroke” system that reduces the opening of the rakes by increasing the speed to 1470 rpm, for the best harvesting efficiency even when olives are extremely resistant to detachment.
IRON is a concrete solution for intensive harvesting also thanks to its low weight of 1 kg, its 170 l / min air consumption and the possibility of being connected to fixed and telescopic extension poles made of aluminum or carbon, in order to reach every part of the foliage without the use of ladders.
